Recently Fixx Nutrition attended the popular Ultra-Trail Australia running event where they had our Fuel X Endurance Fuel on course. This trail run is on an extremely long and hilly trek in the Blue Mountains of Katoomba so we knew a lot of athletes would find themselves cramping up throughout the course and in need of the ultimate long distance survival item!

The photo shown is Scott Johnson, Ultra-Trail Australia 50km finisher, clutching onto his lifesaver – Crampfix. After the race he reached out to us and said:

Hi, I saw your stand at the UTA expo and picked up 2 sachets of Crampfix as I had heard positive reviews.

I already had my race plan sorted so I didn’t expect to touch the sachets. Despite not cramping once in training, I wasn’t so lucky on the day and I started getting severe cramps at the 10km mark.

I tried everything I had, without success, and ended up opening the Crampfix as the last resort. Thankfully it worked! I had to ration out the two sachets over the next 40kms taking minute sips at every flat section which would stave off the cramps just long enough to shuffle along for a while!

I spent the next 40km holding onto an open sachet as though it was the elixir of life. I feared that it I put it in my pocket it would spill and that would be the end of my day.

I somehow managed to stumble across the finish line!

The event photos show me holding onto the open sachets for grim life!

What I learnt during UTA:

1. Crampfix works

2. Next time buy the bottle!

So, how does Crampfix work anyway?

Crampfix works rapidly to fix and prevent muscle cramps by targeting the overactive nerves that are causing the muscles to cramp. We don’t know exactly what causes muscle cramps but we know how to fix them! There is an association between premature muscle fatigue, exercise-induced muscle cramp, stimulation of sensory nerves, and interruption of alpha neutron (nerves) firing.

The strong, salty, vinegary Crampfix taste activates sensory nerves in the mouth which sends a signal to bring the crazy overactive nerve signals under control and relieve or prevent the cramp!

All products are all-natural, vegan, gluten-free, and made in Burleigh Heads, Queensland!

Drink 1 x 20ml QuickFix SHOT or 10-20ml 5 minutes before exercise.

Drink 15-20ml at first signs of cramping for rapid relief within 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Drink 10ml after exercise to prevent post-exercise cramps and to reduce muscle tightness.

Drink one sachet every 40 to 60 minutes to prevent cramps from returning.

So for your next race, don’t forget to pack the ultimate long distance survival item!
