At his first race back, Noosa Triathlon, Josh finished with a bronze in a strong elite men’s field then went on to win the Asia Triathlon Cup.

“The week leading into Noosa Tri, hydration and fueling had to be on point as the weather conditions were predicted to be quite hot. The days leading into the race I was constantly sipping on my Fuel X Tropical, going through 1.5L-2L of FIXX a day. The morning of the race I sipped a full bottle of Fuel X Pro Watermelon from the moment I woke up till 5 mins before the gun went off.

The body felt amazing and ready to go off the back of this preparation.

During the race I went through 400ml of Watermelon which prepped me perfectly for the rest of the race, feeling great through the whole 10km run.

The 21 days post Noosa recovery and backing up for sessions was super important due to racing my first World Triathlon race in Malaysia. so having a bottle of FIXX at every session was key for my recovery and quality of training.

The heat in Malaysia was a massive factor so staying hydrated in the hot humid conditions was my first priority. Having a bottle of Fuel X Tropical & Nude on me everywhere I went was important, all up consuming 2L or more a day leading into the race. Prior to the race I went through 750ml of Watermelon which topped me up for the race. I then went through 300ml of very cold Watermelon Fuel X Pro on the bike which once again set me up perfectly to execute a great run.”

After this latest result Josh has now moved up considerably in the World ranking. He is now back in Australia to train before he flies out to NZ for his final race. A short, but sweet 2022 race season.
